International Day of Sport

On 6 April 2026 we celebrate worldwide the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, proclaimed by the United Nations. This day emphasises the power of sport and physical activity to promote health, cooperation and mutual understanding, both within organisations and in society.

Sport is more than physical activity. It brings people together, strengthens team spirit, reduces stress and contributes to both physical and mental health. For organisations, sport offers a powerful way to make employees more energetic, productive and resilient. More inspiration and information can also be found on the Sport Vlaanderen website.
